My Hourglass

Yesterday was the first time in the last five years which I did not go and see the countdown firework. Instead, I stayed home with the newest member of the family, Abigail.

The firework sucked balls like last year anyway, so it wasn’t too much of a loss. However, it did feel good to stay home and celebrate with the family.

Now, new year resolution which I made in 2010. I made two actually, one was to lose weight and get down to around 66 and the other was to get myself a nice six pack abs.

Lose weight, yes! I got myself down to around 66 which I am very pleased.

Six pack abs? Well, not quite but I did manage to get four. The fifth and sixth will appear if I lose a bit more weight. Even with four, I am more than delighted.

Highlight of the year? Well, only one, but also the biggest of my entire life, is Abigail. She entered my world on the 31st of July 2010. She is the most adorable little girl in the world. Thank you Peny for bringing her to us, I love you too!

End of 2010 and hello 2011. So what is my New Year resolution for this year? Well, get my six abs and get rich!

Thank you mum and dad for staying and accompany us over the last six months. Thank you for taking care of Abigail as well. Please come back again soon, we all miss you so very much. I am sure Abigail is missing her grandparents too!

Isn’t it amazing? Today was grandma’s 90th birthday! What’s so amazing isn’t the number 90, but it’s how well she looks. She definitely doesn’t look like someone who just turned 90!

Happy birthday grandma. We look forward to bring Abigail to see you soon!

I turn 30 today. Wow… it feels like I have been living in the twenties for years.

A quiet celebration, or actually no celebration. Just me, my wife, my daughter, my parents and a birthday cake. Simple, but more than enough.

Today is my wedding anniversary. My wife and I have been married for two years, and the biggest difference this time is now we have a baby daughter.

We had dinner at 西提 which it was the first formal outing since my wife became pregnant. We talked a lot about how things have changed over the last twelve months. The biggest of course, again is Abigail.

I thought I lost Abigail’s health care card.  Gosh that was scary.  The first and the only ID that I applied for Abigail, the single most important thing and I thought I lost it.  Lucky it was only misplaced in one of the drawers.

The ID wasn’t the only thing I had trouble finding.  Strangely I seem to forget a lot of things recently.  Could it be lack of sleep?  Ahh, maybe I just need to sleep more!

I had a really nice burger with Joe at Uncle Sam’s.  It was surprising how good the burger was, it was so damn good.  Probably the best burger at this price point I have ever tasted.  Not only the burger was nice, they also baked some really nice bread too.  It turned out Uncle Sam wasn’t just good at making burgers!

Thank you Abigail, now daddy cannot get any sleep.  Then again it is all worth it!

Happy Father’s Day! Today is also my first Father’s Day and we spent the afternoon shopping and eating a Miramar shopping complex. I didn’t get any Father’s Day gift (as expected), but having Abigail is just as good.

Joe and his family arrived today from Japan.  Mum and dad came together to pick them up from the airport and they were absolutely thrilled to see Brendan.  I am sure they cannot wait to see Abigail too.

It has been two years since Joe came back so it is always good to have him around.  Looking forward to spend some time catching up!
