I was still in office.
So quiet, so very quiet. I used this time to take two snaps of the empty 12th floor.

Last week I went home at 10:00pm, I hope it will not happen again this week.
Not me, but our company’s CFO.
Apparently seven people got retained initially, and six was later released on bail.
I wonder who paid for the bail money?
For alleged insider trading…
Apparently Taiwan Prosecutors came and raided the company headquarters in Taoyuan and Taipei, and took several senior finance executives away for interrogation.
How funny, and this afternoon I was thinking, hey, where did our finance head go?
I like the word, raid. It sound cool, but I wouldn’t want anything to do with ‘raid’ happening to me though.
The bad news is, it seems our company’s turmoil run is not going to end anytime soon, and I believe BenQ shares will close at around NT13.00 tomorrow.
Regardless what other people say, I still trust Bloomberg.com as my only reliable news source.
I did take a picture of the different TV station crews parked outside the company Taipei headquarter though. I took it when I was just off work heading home. It was dark, and via a shitty phone camera, below is the result of the shot, but you might just be able to make out the TVBS logo from the back of the TV Van.
Don’t know why, for some reason the whole situation reminds me of the Enron Scandal.
For 2007’s oddest book title. There are actually quite funny, and the nominees are…
Man, these are sure odd books indeed. You can make your vote here, even though I don’t even know if there is a purpose of making a vote at all. I just find these titles funny.
The last title sounds quite interesting though, mmmmmm…
I have been feeling lost recently. Really, really lost.
My nine days Chinese New Year break felt a lot shorter than expected. Like always, whenever I have fun, time seems to move at a much faster pace, and this Chinese New Year break was no exception.
Yep, again, we went to Crown Casino, just like every other time I came back, I spent money and gambled a bit. After all, there is one thing I must continue to remind myself, which is, you can never beat the games at the casino. No, never, and you can never win more than you lose. It is just human nature, that when you start winning, people tend to stick around a bit longer, and by the time you realise it, you have already lost it all.
It is funny how I always try to remind myself this before I play, but at the end I still go home regretting why didn’t I stop sooner.
His name is Brendan and he is only two months old. For some reason he looks a lot bigger for a two months old infant.
Brendan is absolutely adorable and playful. It is funny but from memory, most of the infants all they do is cry and cry, but Brendan doesn’t cry much at all.
Brendan loves camera. Everytime I have the camera pointing at Brendan, he would start to smile. He is just simply gorgeous and wonderful to be around with.
On the plane coming to Melbourne, I saw this this Taiwan news listed under China section. Why? Is it because The Standard is a China newspaper?
Melbourne hasn’t changed that much since the last time I came back. There are a few new buildings, but most of the places have remained pretty much the same. I went to a Japanese grocery store and noticed they have many more flavors of Hi-Chews than the ones being sold in Taiwan.
Anyway, it is good to be with mum and dad again.
3pm is my flight, and oh my, I cannot wait to fly back and see my little nephew Brendan. I will be taking a lot of pictures for sure!
I also got my bonus today. Not a lot, but better than last year, so I have nothing to complaint about.
My work computer broke down this morning, and apparently the power supply was busted.
I opened up the case and saw three cockroaches crawling inside.
Interesting.
