Finally! Proper Foods!

After been sick for most of the week, I finally get to go out and have some proper foods.

Had dinner at Motomachi Kurri which is just off MRT Zhongshan Station (中山站). I don’t just like the curry there but also the omelet rice (蛋包飯).

Walking Matchstick

I felt so seriously sick over the weekend I had to take Monday morning off because I was just so fucked up. After coming home from work on Monday I just could not take it anymore, and went straight to the local clinic to get some help. The doctor said I was experiencing high fever, at 39.6 degrees.

Gosh, no wonder it felt as if my entire forehead was burning.

I was a walking matchstick.

Fast Foods

I think Mos Burger tastes better than McDonald or KFC, especially the drinks.

For Three Years In A Row

I got nothing.

Yep, at the company annual appreciation dinner, I again walked away with nothing. This is the third consecutive year I did not get anything, not even a crappy $1,000 coupon for me to do some shopping spree at Sogo department store.

The dinner was okay, the same food with a lot of noise and a lot of beer. Again, the management people are up on the stage telling everyone now different this year is going to be and how successful we will be in the future, and then the same disappointing closing, walking away with nothing.

I guess I shouldn’t be too depressed. I did go up on stage for BenQ Singapore Projector Team of the Year. I did not actually win the award, I was just on stage to fill up some room.

As a closing, this is the kind of face I make when I was in my own state of mind.

Deja Vu

Over the last three weeks, it was like deja vu…

The same Thursday morning, the same luggage, the same taxi waiting downstairs at 4:00am, taking the same 6:20am flight to Ho Chi Minh, holding similar looking flight coupons, board the same Cathay Pacific flight, same flight attendants, and so on.

Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the flight, but my mind turns blank, unable to recall which flight I am on, or the destination.

I used to find flying fun, but now if I need to do it more than twice a month, believe me, you’d be crazy too.

Back in Vietnam, Again

After exactly three weeks, I am back in Ho Chi Minh City again. This trip is bit longer than the last one, and apart from staying in Ho Chi Minh City, I will also visit Hanoi on Sunday, then finally arrive back in Taipei on Monday.

Good that I am not single-handed this time, as country manager and marketing manager are also here. Nevertheless, problems still exist, and so as pressure, but hopefully I will get a bit more time to relax and do some sightseeing over the weekend.

I do want to see some old propaganda pictures though. I love communist artwork.

By the way, I saw SHE on the way to Vietnam. Actually, they just sat right in front of me on the plane. Hebe is nice.

Trouble In Vietnam

Two days ago, a call from my boss, and two days later, I was on a 6am flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Quite frankly, I did not even understand the whole issue until the last few hours before I hopped onto the plane, and only if I knew the situation was this bad, I would have never accepted this trip.

So what’s the big deal about the whole issue? Well, to make story short, our Vietnamese customer claims we need to pay them USD400k, but at most we can only offer then around USD90k. Here, negotiate to the customer and come up with a win-win solution. By the way, do it fast.

Mmmmmmm…yes, to convince the customer to accept 90k instead of 400k. REAL EASY HUH??

Apart from work, I do find my hotel room quite nice. Although Vietnam is not exactly a wealthy country overall, but on the contrary, this is the best hotel I have stayed out of all of my business trips.

More Than Two Years, All Gone…

New layout, new look, everything new now. I lost everything at My Hourglass. All blog entries, all images, messages, more than 2 years worth of memories, all gone for good. Apparently my host had a major server failure and the next I knew was an empty website.

Maybe I shouldn’t be this pessimistic, but then again, it is hard not to think how I just lost everything so suddenly. Sigh. Sad.
