Don’t Ever Fly with China Airline

Don’t even fly with China Airline. They are shit.

A China Airline 747 departed from Taoyuan, Taiwan, exploded just minutes after it landed in Okinawa. The engine and the rear of the plane was on fire, and the flight attendant even said it was “normal” and not to worry.

I always knew China Airline was shit, but I didn’t know they were shit and unprofessional. Anyway, I never fly with them anyway, and I never will.

Problems

Found an interesting read in The Inquirer, apparently Vista and XP accounts for over 34% of all of the world’s problems.

Google search for Vista Problem = 120,000,000 hits

Google search for XP Problem = 112,000,000 hits

More interestingly, Google search for “problem” = 679,000,000 hits – by my maths that means that problems with XP and Vista account for over 34% of all the world’s problems…

Yep, and after all these years, Microsoft still makes bad OS.

Just How Often Do You Get This?

To have more than 55,000 people cheering for you, giving you a stand ovation.

Well, the person is Wang Chien-Ming.

This was the game between Yankees and Red Sox. Wang did a great job and won the game against the best team in the league (at the time anyway), and the photo was taken when Wang left the game for good.

Wang Receiving Standing Ovation

I love this photo because it clearly shows how much appreciation and support the crowd shows. To be on the biggest stage, and bring out the sort of performance like Wang does each and every time he steps on to the pitch, is just remarkable.

Making Headlines

Not me, not BenQ (well, not today anyway), but a Taiwan sporting icon.

When you get writers saying things like…

Seattle struggled to do anything with Wang’s heavy sinker, one of the best pitches in the majors.

You should know that Wang Chien-Ming is definitely something.

It is always nice to see Wang making headlines. He does all Taiwanese proud.

4-0 Sweep

Yep, the Bulls did just that. They swept the Heats 4-0 and move past the first round of 2007 NBA Playoffs.

I always knew Chicago is a decent team, but they are more than decent this year. They are fast, smart and organized, with very good ball movements. I hope they go far into the playoffs this year.

I hope Mavericks lose too, stupid arrogant overrated team. Go the Warriors.

BenQ Making Headlines Again

For alleged insider trading…

Apparently Taiwan Prosecutors came and raided the company headquarters in Taoyuan and Taipei, and took several senior finance executives away for interrogation.

How funny, and this afternoon I was thinking, hey, where did our finance head go?

I like the word, raid. It sound cool, but I wouldn’t want anything to do with ‘raid’ happening to me though.

The bad news is, it seems our company’s turmoil run is not going to end anytime soon, and I believe BenQ shares will close at around NT13.00 tomorrow.

Regardless what other people say, I still trust Bloomberg.com as my only reliable news source.

I did take a picture of the different TV station crews parked outside the company Taipei headquarter though. I took it when I was just off work heading home. It was dark, and via a shitty phone camera, below is the result of the shot, but you might just be able to make out the TVBS logo from the back of the TV Van.

TV Crews Outside BenQ Taipei HQ For Alleged Insider Trading Case

Don’t know why, for some reason the whole situation reminds me of the Enron Scandal.
